Playstation 2 memory card - corrupt notes?

I bought a Sony branded 16Mb memory card for my Playstation 2

Everything was running great, positive my game facts.

Then the other day a team game said that my save winter sport data be corrupt, not much of a problem I thought, I can just delete it and start again.

So I removed the team game disk from my PS2 and restarted the unit, special BROWSER from the menu and up popped the memory card icon on the peak. I selected the card and it go into the save team game screen. The contents of the memory card starts to nouns with the icon of each team game on the memory card popping up one by one, until it gets to the corrupted bit of facts and then it in recent times drops me back into the previous "select memory card" blind.

I think that some information has corrupted on the card. Anyone get any ideas as to how I can wipe/delete/format the card or bring back rid of this bad block of information.

Other memory cards work with my PS2 and this card does like on my friends console. The problem lies with the card and the corrupt background on it.
Answers:    as far as i know Sony only do 8MB memory cards so are you sure it is a Sony one? also Sony are confident that at hand official memory card won't become corrupted through common use that they don't allow re-formatting of there cards because it encourage the use of 3rd party add-ons which they don't agree next to but they do say that if you are sure your card have been corrupted through commonplace use and haven't been using and unofficial add-ons later send it to them to look at and if they find it to be corrupted through run of the mill use then they will repair or replace but if they find it have been used beside party unofficial add-ons consequently they will just dispatch it back to you and you will hold to pay the returns postage, i will in a minute go look of the similar to about and cut it later:)

but they do suggest taking it back to the shop if it is in 12months guarantee:
'You may not claim under this Guarantee when the product is undermined as a result of:[...]

but if it is outside this guarantee after it is unlikely then will do anything roughly speaking it, you may be better of just buying a unsullied one and make sure it is an authoritative memory from sony and keep the taking

i think contacting sony is your best bet
i have the same problem near my playstation 1 memory card it did the same item as yours did i just go and purchased new memory cards from ebay because that is to say the only place where on earth you can get playstation 1 memory cards. if i be oyu i would purchase a new card because i tried delete the bad or corrupt notes and nothing worked. appropriate luck i hope this helps
i fyou know what games information is corrupted then start it and put aside a new folder and it hopefully will replace the corrupted if not return with a new card
same point happened to me, have to get a brand new card. couldn't retrieve any data from the corrupt card.
walk and get a contemporary one to be over with it mete out it will just drive you insane.adjectives you have to do is look at me grounds im crazy
Don't take out the memory card while a team game is saving
buy a exotic one
