Can you buy the fixings to construct your own floating shelves.?

singular ones I've seen are ikeas own.but they are cheaper by the time you buy the gear for it.they merely cost a tenner for a 4ft one.many shades to choose from.

You can do it yourself with a spirit plane and a few bits of old threaded bolt steel! Mark your chain on the wall with the spirit smooth. Mark where the holes will stir on the wall (EVENLY SPACED). Drill STRAIGHT into wall with suitable sized drill and put fitting quality wall plugs contained by. Use wooden dowels with a tiny bit of blue chalk on the ends. Push into holes and build sure they are in a vein using the spirit level. Offer up the suitably sized shelf KEEPING IT LEVEL AND STRAIGHT until it touches the chalk results. That is where you drill your holes. Put the threaded steel into the wall and thighten up. Then put your shelf onto the threaded steel that sticks out of the wall. For extra warranty you can mark a smudge on the two end holes lower than the shelf and put a small screw in to stop the shelf sliding bad the mounts. Worked for me and only cost me lb2.00. for the 1mtr length of threaded block.
