It seems to be coming from underneath the gadget. I've checked the filter, the water pipes, the empty hose but they all seem to be ok. Still, a pool of water gather under the gadget on the floor. What could cause this and would it be worth getting fixed? I've have a mad year of things breaking surrounded by my house. God! Now its carrying into 2007! Please help, someone!

it's conspicuously worth pursuing. there is a picnic basket seal, a sea pump, and hose connections under near. any of which can be changed or repaired far cheaper than a new washer.
When my parent's wash machine started leak it was going to cost them more to grasp it fixed than to get a exotic one. I can't remember what they said the problem was though.
I havent a clue whats wrong minus seeing it, but regarding buying a untried one, that depends on how old this one is. If it's more than 10 years, consider a clean one.
Easy now pilgrim! If it is only a puddle it might not be much at all! When a wash machine "breaks" it will dispatch water everywhere!
A puddle of sea could be too many suds, some spilling over the tub and collecting on the floor as marine. I would place some towels around the machine for insurance and try it again short soap.
How long have you have this machine...
Well very soon you take a seep and some carrots oops wrong subject I thought I be in cooking what you are asking I don't know.
Look at the rubber trademark round the door. these tend to wear through and water runs down inside the contrivance.
Leaks from the water pump seal is the next bet.
From later onwards scrap it!
Try DABS home for bits for rectification.

If it is leak from the front , chances are it is the pump, which is tremendously easily replaced. my husband have worked in the service industry for years and have replaced numerous ones.Good luck, and don't let some one overcharge you.
similar item happened to me only after we moved into our new house, i checked everything that i thought could be cause the problem, that is hoses, hose pump inlet pipes etc and all be ok. asked my local washing electrical device suppliers who were thoroughly helpful and suggetsted that i check the rubber door boot first,( this is the big rubber trademark at the front of the drum between the drum and the body of the machine that act as a seal when the door is closed) sometimes this can acquire pulled out of position when getting the washing out, or it could start to perish or split. mine be ok.
The next entry they advised me to check be that the hole from the soap dispenser into the drum as this could be blocked with soap powder build up and restricting the hose down flow so that the water back up and overflows down the inside of the machine.
To check this you enjoy to remove the soap dispenser tray by pulling it out to its stop and then giving it a slightly harder tug. later you can look into the hole that it came out of and you should see a immense hole at the back where on earth the water and powder jump into the drum, mine had get blocked and so i got a bowl of hot wet and an old tooth brush and give the compartment a thorough scrubbing out, i be surprised with the amount of powder build up, once done i later replaced the powder dispenser and this cured the problem.
if this does not do it then you may all right need the comfort of a friendly washing contraption repair man.
