Vilencia
the garbage bin of europe particular as romania
Southern France... without a doubt.

Also, Normandy.
Roma hand down.
Spain of course
Bavaria contained by southern Germany. Go to Garmish and take the Cable Car to the top of the Zugspitz. It's the upmost point in Germany and surely beautiful. (you can ski if you like) The dining at the Patton Hotel is outstanding and it is a great place to stay. While within the area in attendance are several Castles to visit, especially Nui-Swinstine (sp) built by King Ludwig and modeled by Walt Disney at Disneyland.
Southern France: Provence: Avignon, Marseilles, Cassis and village! - Normandy is in Northern France and there's not much to see -
walk and visit turkey.marmaris is a lovley place to budge for a holiday.plenty of sunshine and water sports.the hours of darkness life is electrifiying and hugely busy in july an august.if you want some peace and inactive you can also visit or even choose to stay contained by a quiet town 3 miles up from marmaris call icmeler.its has its own lovley shoreline surrounded by high hummock mountains.its almost like a private resorts next to pleanty of resturants to choose from.don,t miss out on the turkish bath.
Jack C : Normandy is contained by north-western France !

It depends on what your brother likes... If he like cities, Paris, Rome or Athens are for me the best one... But if he likes the country, the sun, the shore and the nature, Andalusia (Spain) or South-West France (Arcachon Basin) are accurate places...
Come to the Scottish Highlands, the scenery is second to none.

GREECE OR MALTA DEFINITELY !
Bruges surrounded by Belgium is a perfect little mediaeval town near loads of canals, full of stunningly friendly those ( and bicycles).
I just considered necessary to comment on a couple things "Old Guy" stated. The Patton Hotel is now defunct; it be replaced by the Edelweiss Lodge several years ago. Second, even if the Patton Hotel was still within operation, it's highly unlikely that this personage or her family would've be able to achieve into it, seeing as how it was exclusively for American military personnel, their family, or other individuals who were contained by some way affiliated next to the US government. It's no different for the Edelweiss Lodge. Second, the castle you be referring to is Schloss Neuschwanstein, arguably the most well-known castle surrounded by Germany--and yes, Disney did base his Cinderella castle at Disneyland after Ludwig's Neuschwanstein. That aside, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is absolutely well-worth seeing, as is Zugspitze... not to mention that Garmisch isn't far from Munchen (Munich) or from Innsbruck, Austria. There are dozens of other places I'd personally recommend, but Garmisch would unequivocally be a contender--American-exclusive hotels aside, of course.
