i would say uk as you dont no what the rate is surrounded by spain and it will cost you more to change it within as they can charge what they want and the rate they want cos you will have no choice but to do so thats how you money over the odds.also the british money is worth more to them thats why cost you.i have same prob in st lucia their currency eas carribean dollar but can use american they try get hold of american dollar if they can as worth more to them hope this helps

When I go I got a better rate surrounded by the UK and they bought them back free of charge. (post office). I would hold alot in travellers cheques though, you recompense a bit on commission but whilst on holiday I had 600 euros stolen from my undisruptive, the same happen to another couple in duplicate hotel as us and three men got robbed at axe point, also staying at our hotel.
